What is it that you are seeking? Is it peace of mind, clarity, a way to deal with the anxious or depressive thoughts and feelings? Sometimes all we need is the right guidance to get out of our own way to get on the right course of change. As humans we are conditioned to avoid pain and think and behave in certain ways learned through our upbringing, culture and other life experiences. Therapy gives us the opportunity to reflect on these experiences and interpretations of the world to better serve us and how we want to live.
I have been a therapist for over 15 years having the opportunity to work with people of all ages and backgrounds in different settings. I have also been trained in several modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, psycho dynamics and strengths based therapy.
My main focus is working with men in developing an acceptance for who they are and figuring out who they want to be. As men, especially in this day and age, it is often difficult to know where we stand and fit in. There are many men out there who grew up without their father or had a poor relationship with him harvesting a great deal of resentment and pain. This spills into our relationships with women and children. I’ve worked with a lot of men in surfacing these pains and eventually gaining a level of acceptance in order to move forward.
With all that said I look forward to the opportunity to work together to discover barriers and move ahead.
